2 upset I rather forget. Frank Downey died last Tuesday and was brought here for burial and when I heard they were coming I flew around and got ready to have some of them here, but they didn't come after all. Then we went to the funeral and it was all so sad those things kind of work on my nerves for the time, but after all what's the use, these things have to be, only, I feel if he had lived as he should, and taken good care of the life he had been given him, it might have been different. I've been wondering if you have any time for reading and if so what may I send you. I suspect though, your study takes up most if not all, your time, outside of your other work. Hope you will come out of the vaccination all right. This old town is going along the the same trot. I doubt if it ever will gallup even. The same old loafers about the streets. Father has been wishing to goodness that such fellows a Charlie Price and a few other dead beats didn't come under the draft. There are so many of that kind in every town who just idle their lives away and life is too wonderful and has been given us to make something of
