Postmarked Oct 29, 1917 Daphne, darlin'- I have just been listening to Mr. Oberhoffer's battalion in their second "pop." The net result is that I am rather peacefully happy and contented. They played a distressing thing in D minor by Wieniawski that made me want to sit up on my hind legs and howl, but after a finish on Brahms Hungarian Dances I came away with my tail wagging. Josephine accompanied me, for no particular reason except that I had to have company and she was handy. I again wished that Curtis Court contained your domicile. If I could have taken you with me this afternoon I might have obtained some information on several points that my untutored musical appreciation was not able to encompass. Of course, that was but a very minor reason for my wanting you about. As time goes on, and I see what many interesting phases there are to Minneapolis; the better do I realize
