crazy old blizzard come? It's turning colder tonight and I suppose it will just raise Ned because it can't help anybody out now. Ruby is out with a soldier man -- and not much of one, at that, but she'll come home & write her Fort Sill hero how much she loves him, and he'll believe it. Honey, I am happy to give up everyone for you. I don't see how I could have enjoyed being with anyone else, but it's all over now. I'm going to write the other men tomorrow and break the news to them, and then you'll be the only one I write to. The first time I go to town I'll tell my old Sweetheart at the Drug store about you. He'll be glad because he said he liked your looks very much. You should say "Muzhe oblizge!" And now will you kiss me goodnight and I'll dream of you all night long. I love you devotedly, dearest. -- Daphne.
