Stumbling into an office to see a Mr. Foterson, who came out to Snelling at the the close of the camp, I was much surprised to find Major Ferguson the officer who was in command at Snelling after Colonel Leitch left. He is in charge of a division in the A.G.O. Finally, I paid my respects to Lieut. Col. Comley, the man to whom I am probably indebted for the assignment to Washington.
