I suppose I can guess if I try. Honey. you never did write Mrs. Stockard did you? Will you try from France? Mrs. V. A. C. Stockard. Since you are so particular as to initials you must know she has her share. "Happy" Thorpe is in bed, acting like a fool because her Sweetheart is liable to go to France some of these days -- nothing certain about it. Such people weary me. I'll write often as I dare, dearest, and I'll keep loving you more all the time -- until you come back. Then I'll begin abusing you again. Don't forget to brush your hair every five minutes. Take care of yourself, dear, Uncle Sam & I need you. Love from Mother. All your own -- Daphne.
