Oh Boy! I mos' nigh forgot! Yesterday I got a letter from Brother Laise-- a real one. He doesn't know we are married but he will when the announcement reaches him. But he wrote a fine letter anyway, and wished us all good luck and happiness. I told him about you immediately after you left Nevady, you know. But you don't know the rest of what I started!! Here comes a letter from A. C. Gustafsen -- a very nice one. He read the announcement in a paper and wrote a very nice apology for the little affair that happened some time ago, when he opened one of my letters to Hy. He said some nice things about you too, but he needn't have. I knew them. I am taking for granted that you'd like me to answer it, and I shall send him your address as soon as I can say you're gone. I hope this is what you'd like. If it isn't, it is A. C.'s fault because he raved around as tho you were his best girl, and hopes he and I can become as friendly as you two (Missouri!) were. Ruby sends a very immodest message. I'd never dare say it if I were with you, but as it is I'm not at all afraid of you, and she insists on it. She says you are a poor sort of father, to never mention her or send her a
