these days to make you know how very dear you are to us and how very proud we are of you. You are doing such a splendid thing and the only thing that you, being yourself could do. If I were a man I'd go right along with you. One has only one life to live and what matters it how it is spent so long as one does his noble best and follows a line of duty. I believe so long as one has a work to do on this earth he will be spared to do that work. When it is finished life will be finished. Believing this I am glad to see you go bravely forward for our country and for humanity hoping that for the sake of our love for you, you still have much to do in life and will come back to us and to your dear bride.
