and she came pawing madly into my room to relate how she had "burst the news to Naylor!" He was (notice the tense) one of my very ardent admirers from Joplin -- a 'cellist of no mean ability. To hear Rhetia tell it was very amusing. She has invited herself to visit us in Iowa City sometime because she has a sister not far from there. I am wild with delight at the prospect (?). If we live thru it, it will be lots of fun because she is the queerest most temperamental thing I ever saw. Her sister is an M.D. and a lot more, and is interested in research work.
