PM 1/16/18 My Own Hubby:-- Two letters from you today, hooray! One written just after you reached "our home" and the other written the morning after, and dearest, they are beautiful. Oh I want you so much -- and more all the time. I've pitched headlong into my work to try and forget my loneliness but now that our secret is out everyone is constantly reminding me of you by their questions and congratulations. I intended to write you all about the affair last night but I was so tired when I got back from town, after sending your wire, that I piled into bed as soon as I could shoo the visitors out of my room.
