I have to pinch myself to make sure that it was all real. What wonderful days and nights they were! They brought me a thousand new thrills of happiness. As I have told you, one minute with you was crowded with more ecstasy than I had ever known before. There is no denying the fact that I gained new insight into your mind and heart and soul. Every observation added to my conviction that we were made for each other. You are a wonderful pal and sweetheart and inspiration combined just as I have always hoped the girl I should get for my wife would be. I want to be as much for you, and believe me, honey, I'll try most enthusiastically to keep you believing and knowing all your life that I am the only man in the world for you. I had dinner with Zimmerman and four other lieutenants at the Far East. We got five different kinds of Chinese food and passed them around the table to the common satisfaction of all curiosity of appetites. The fellows were a good sort and we had a companionable time - which helped make life easier for your lonely hubby. But I thought a lot about how you would have enjoyed the place, too, after the feed we took an excursion through the kitchen and saw the cook splitting
