As Burnside has been removed I suppose you are not so anxious to hear how we like him but I am sorry to say he was not liked so well generally as I expected he would be but when you come to talk with them you can see at once it is, not that they really dislike Burnside but they wanted Mc.Clellan. The Proclamation is hard to say a great many like it and a great many dislike it but on the whole I rather think the majority are in favor of it.
