Mon nite Jan 12, 1943 Dearest, Got two letters today. rumors about us being shipped out soon we went on a short hike today wasn't bad at all they aren't hard for me. About the brakes on the Plymouth I think they need taking up the fluid may be a little low but I think they need adjusting if they hold at all I may get out and adjust them myself. If they are too bad to drive take it anywhere you think best The weather is good here now the snow is gone & it is warm and clear We had a good supper tonite is was cooked good and plenty of very unusual I have washed and showed and feel good. had to make out some papers tonite there is always something to do around this camp I will be glad to get out no matter how I think of you a lot that makes things go better around here
