Mon nite Jan 19 1943 Dearest. am back in camp today was an easy day all indoor classes Had a good steak of luck in getting my letter to the personal office now all I can do it hope that things go our way. Had a good time in D.C yesterday, the best was when I talked to you it seemed good to talk to my honey again I put the call in from [Crofers?] room that is why you didn't understand at first I could hear you from the time you answered. The rock man from Missouri talked home sat nite he talked to his wife about the same as you and I He is a man that looks about like Mr Fisher he is a man of high ideals and common as can be I liked him very much He wants me to come down if I ever get the chance maybe we can go down some day
