Oct. 3, 1943 North Africa Dearest. I started to write with a pencil, then borrowed this pen from a boy that used mine a lot Someone made away with mine sure hated to loose it, because you gave it to me I have carried it all the way along untill now I think I may be able to get another here if not you can send me another and hope it will get here, The watch came the other day the package was opened the extra wrist band was gone I dont think it is the same watch you sent me anyway it is an Elgin and runs I will have enough time now, Received 3 letters yesterday you mailed in Feb. got a V-mail from Jack
