North Africa Oct. 10. 1943 Dearest: - Sunday again and I dont have to work this A.M. so I will write a few lines I am getting along good. like driving truck I can stay off my feet most of the time we have good food and plenty of it best I have had since I left the states I get mail once in a while Leo Trachta owes me $360.00 I think you can find the note in the top middle drawer of my desk I think it is alright for the time being he is probly behind on the interest The mirror came yesterday it is a good on ought to stay bright with the leather case
