Thurs nite Jul 24 1942 Dearest:- I got your No. 8 letter this 11:30 A.M. it was postmarked July 20 10:30 P.M. that isn't so bad. I got your package this AM too sure was good. mints are fine. I sitting on my bunk the boy in the next one is from Missouri he is writing to his girl, I may write to Roy after this one I haven't wrote to him yet. I gave the cigaretts to a poor boy at F.B. I was going to send them to George but didn't take the time. Emily present was a bunch
