Aug 24 1942 Sun Morn. 8:30 Dearest, It is sun morn. I sitting down at boxing ring, our company has a little natural arena down in a gully it is shady & cool down here now some of the boys are boxing & wrestling & having a lot of fun one of the fellows brought a little radio down several others are writing letters some are playing cards one of the fellows didn't come back last nite some think he went over the hill, that is the last thing I would do to get out of the army some get away, but the most of them are caught.
