817-19 St S. E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa May 29, 1945 Dearest, It must be getting time for you to come home. For a long time after you were in service I noticed especially every truck like yours. Then I gradually got over that until recently. I declare I've seen trucks like yours so often in the last few weeks that it would take little persuasion or embriodery of my imagination to expect it to be you! Your wife's sentimental nature is never going to expire! No mail yet from you, and I've sent very little. I'm through with my nurses' class of sociology except for grades and correcting a couple of sets of papers. Some inroads on the house cleaning have been made but the attic hasn't been touched and it is a hopeless
