Mattie was in C.R. last week and Ray talked with him. He was on his way back to Pearl Harbor. He's been there about 2 years and was home on 30 day vacation. He is bound by a duration contract and his wife would have gone with him expect she has just had an operation. Ray said he never saw him looking so well and he must be entirely on the wagon now. $1.96 an hour 54 hours-overtime over forty-etc. Is a supervisor of installation of maintenance on something of an area for the big planes' repairing.  
Aunt Bessie went home a week ago yesterday. She gained a lot from the treatments and they dismissed her. She disliked the treatments greatly and was fairly bursting to go home. If she can get some work now or at least some other way to get an interest in life she should hold her gains. 
Talked with Hazel on the phone. Also visited Johnstons and saw there Bobby. Both the boys are growing like weeds.
