3 seem to think that we can tell all about veteran needs & problems by this sample. Not until there are large numbers of men out on points will there be typical groups. The others are sick, maladjusted, and a very few over-age. They haven't served on an average as long as the post-war veterans will have served, and they are not now in an economic situation of job competition because we are still a Class I [Cutral?] Labor Shortage Area. I wonder if you would react the same way to these things. If you don't I'll know it is because you have additional information to shed light on the things and not because of some flighty batch of nothing. Now I'm waiting for two appointments to come in. I have three all ready for this afternoon. So you can guess I'll remain in high gear. The fact I've heard where you are, how you think and feel and the day has a pleasant sun all unite to make it an easy, even if busy, day. Yesterday afternoon I watched the Jacobs kids at the parsonage while Mrs J & the preacher went out. I was writing your letter when they came back & he asked if I had my love letter written. I said, "Almost". The only important letter I could have added. Naturally, I don't
