4 a decision and arrive at it jointly we do that. But we can act and be sure of help without any reserve of question of the partner's thoughts because we both act for a reason and in line with high ideals. After church I stopped to visit Sadie B for awhile She is feeling pretty well now, but not able yet to go to Church. Effie + Brownie were at Trinity. She was talking about Alta working and about whether I'd work when you come back. I said if you had duty in the States I expected to follow you. If you were home to stay I'd have to decide, (I didn't elaborate that we would decide) but I'd not put a job above my family considerations. And I explained how badly Miss Taft needed help while the services & Red Cross were still drawing on her staff. She said Clifford's sister who is an army nurse and some other she (Sadie) knows with USO feel they must work until more help is available. I am feeling fine. The poultry is fading a little more. The next two weeks I'll be especially busy because it is the end of the fiscal year and I have to make all kinds of reports, board meeting, raise some money for the nurseries etc. I'll make out all right as long as you can send me word and we always love and understand each other. In case you haven't already suspected it, the gold is not green, the "my place" is alway occupied, and Lloyd's wife is happy to have her name. You won't need to make a return of merchandise to Mr. Hodgson. To my laddie, Love, Laura
