817-19 St. S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa July 25, 1945 Dearest, Your letter of June 28 from [Epival?] came today. I'm so glad to get any word from you. I don't learn from this when or how you left Germany. You say "still at [Epival?]" so I suppose there are letters in between that haven't come yet. Mail is slow so I am always so behind in news, and it comes out of order. The important things is that it comes! While it is uncensored and you have comparative leisure you maybe can write me more details. Now that I hear from you it isn't so much like dropping stones in a well to write you. i'm a long-winded woman, but I've talked a somewhat one-sided conversation for thirty-two months.
