4 has to stay alone over night in their house. If Jack had gone into service she would have had to get over such silly ideas. It isn't missing Jack that makes it hard for her to stay, but fear of someone bothering. Their house is so close to neighbors you can't run water without it being heard! The Cornelius house - they've been gone from there a long time - has just been painted a nice white. I think Rodloffs moved several months ago, but I don't know who is there now or when the move was made. Mr. Johnston will know all the details! Mrs. Johnston is a good source of advice on house keeping problems and children too. She is modern, but conservative. I ask her questions about my clients questions to me.
