been soaking up too much of Barleycorn lately, I'm afraid. Any way, we will try to help the kids but I'm sort of discouraged about them. They did better for a couple years though than I ever expected, so there is some hope yet. After supper I visited a war wife in Lincoln Heights. She isn't much, but he has been general court martialed with Dependents Allowance cancelled. He had a 10 yr [Anamosa?] suspended before going into army. I'll bet he is involved in black mkt gas in Germany. Anyway, it is a mean job to think up what to do for the kids. I need you to transport me to these "off the beaten trail" places and to help me think up solutions. You'll always have to be a proxy social worker if not a direct one!
