2 democracy going. But we have had absolutely no hardships at home except for our men being gone and in dangerous places. I went to the special church service tonight at First Baptist. At all the other special war services I was at [Long?], and would like to have been there for this one too because I could sit about where we did when you were home. But [Long] is closed this month as is usual in August. So I was a "Baptist" on this very special occasion just as I am every Sunday in August. The service was excellent. Mr. Anderson lead us [wisely?]. I had never hoped we could be engaged so soon in a Thanksgiving service for the end of the war. The unexpected fulfillment of good hopes makes us all that much more thankful.
