Apt. 105 155 Highland Ave. Detroit 3 Michigan March 12, 1944 Dear Laura: I don't recall whether I thanked you for your letter of suggestions that you sent in January. I appreciated it and it did give me some ideas. Nothing definite yet, however. How have you been? What do you hear from Lloyd? Is he still in Africa? I am all right but am busy with all my work. Our school business is a bit better. Darn it! Haven't yet decided what I'm going to do, but should soon hear from some of the inquiries I've sent out. Now about the car. am stating here what I've paid according to my bookkeeping. Please let me know if it is not correct. I want to get the matter straightened out and off my mind. On Sept. 6, 1942 you have me the following receipt: "Received from P.C.H. credit of $320 and cash of $40 to apply
