Ft. Dodge, Apr. 11 - 44 Dear Frances We were very glad to receive your letter and hear you well and than Lloyd was getting along all right. I think of you very often but it is hard for me to write as my fingers are numb and at times I can hardly hold a pencil I have had that trouble all winter also a good deal of pain in my back but I get up & dress, but have to spend much of the time
