3) and enrollments. Before that was done the Grandmother recovered and proceeded to take one child and a neighbor took the other two. I am sure Mrs Hunt thinks I am as crazy as Miss Strahan appears to me but either Miss S. didn't know the names or was too excited to produce them. Here was Miss Strahan's parting shot. "I am so glad Mrs Sloan to have discovered you. Now I will know where to call after this. You are at Tyler?" I answered "No! Davis at the Board of Ed." Miss Strahan; "Oh! I never thought of that, I could have called Mr [Diarulr?]". You can guess with what haste I informed her that my number was not at all like Mr. D.'s. So much for that. The Regional Office informed us that our Special Requisition could not be accepted but must be included in our next general progress report. Also that Mrs. Mildred J. Law, Regional Supervisor of War Public Services plans to be in C.R. on Oct. 4. We are going to have everything ready so she can tell us if we are submitting it OK then. Sept 2944
