Fri nite [9-12-42] Dearest:- Got 2 letters today one got lost for a time they were both good letters I turned in the marriage certificate today they seemed to think is was something strange, they dont know straight up down here the army is full of a lot of hot air & bluff. I got my pay I missed while I was home they took out $22 for allotment took out 5.65 for insurance I got 22.35 $50.00 that makes the $50 the way as I figure it
