Sat afternoon [9-19-42] Dearest:- I'm just sitting in my room resting I got up rather late this morning took a shower & shaved went out and got some breakfast. Walked around town quite a bit, sat in the park a while got some things for myself and some things for one of the fellows at camp I dont think I will be able to write as long a letter as yesterday. In regard to rifle company, after we finish our basic training and are shipped out to a regular outfit
