Camp Croft Sat. [9-27-42] Dearest:-- It is afternoon and has been raining all day. We went on a hike last nite I was on table waiter yesterday then went on the hike at 8:00 I was pretty busy all day didn't get a chance to write too bad it broke my record of consecutive letters. It was a good evening for a hike we went about 12 miles it was cloudy but not too dark on account of the moon we got back about midnite had a lunch at the mess hall the men all felt in high spirits they can
