10/21/42 Dearest. Time to write again I like to get all my work done and shower & shave then set down and write to you Today was a rainy day had classes inside they started to teach us things about heavy weapons but we finished showing the instructors things about the way to handle them and then they admitted their limited knowledge they trained us well at Camp Croft in everything we did The musicians are going it again a couple of indian boys are playing their guitar and singing they are doing a good job of it too, in Spanish. One of the fellows got a letter from a boy that stayed in Camp Croft. He said one of our boys that was on a fourlough when we shipped out came back and they sent him to Alaska I would like to be there myself
