Vegetable Sandwiches Mince vegetables & combine 1/2 c each: cabbage, carrot, green pepper, celery, radishes, red onion. 6 sl. white bread Toast & butter. Put 1/2 c vegetable mix on each slice. 6 c Cheddar cheese 1/2 c beer Combine in sauce pan. Melt; season. Put on toast. Broil 3 min. or til cheese is bubbly. Serve hot w/ dill pickles, black olives, tomato. Herring Salad Mix. 1 herring - raw 1 1/2 pickled beets
