Friday Oct 25 1935 Dear Mary, Thanks muchly for the very charming letter which I received today. And thanks terrifically for the financial support which you rendered me with your usual generosity last Sunday. As it was rather urgently needed at that particular time. I appreciate it very much. I've met a very nice little babe, Jeanie (Virginia) Becker with whom I toddle up to night school, plus of course Jimmy and Lila (Lacy), who is also very nice. Mrs Becker seems to know Daddy quite well, and also Anne & Jo & Mother. I had our car at school last night and the 4 of us had a very nice time, indulging afterwards in such huge (illegible) as taffy-apples (about which Jeanie & Lila are nuts) and almond hersheys. Jeanie is quite intelligent - perhaps you know her - she graduated from St Jo's a year ago. (along margin - need not be mentioned in your letters) My (illegible) with McFingan has done me some good, you see - I stayed up at his place a couple nights ago, being too lazy to come home, and he stayed down here last night, for the same reason. I cannot decide whether to go to the Clarke Soph prom
