Nov 6 1937 Dear Mary, I sure got a bang out of your last letter: the pink stationery and the H Kenline interjections. Let the dictionary go - I'll get one here, which doesn't mean that I'm in the bucks or anything on acc't I got some new tires & stuff for the car. On the other hand don't get the idea that I'm asking for dough. Or do you follow me. My secret spies inform me that the Evans family might have two blue Packards in it instead of one - why so silent on this point, toots? I am very very busy all the time which is tiresome but necessary. Have had one date since I've been back and that was before school started. Don't think I don't miss Dubuque, family, home, and all that.
