Saturday afternoon 9/10/37 Dear Daddy and Mary, Thank you very much for wiring me the social security number. The reason I wanted it in such a hurry is because they wanted to send it in this week. The 'they' is Warner Bros. I am employed by them as a set watchman. The job I mentioned in my last letter I naturally gave up because this one is so much better. I work 8 hours a day, seven days a week, from midnight to 8:00 in the morning. The pay is excellent - at least it seems so to me after Molo's 75¢ per hour.
