Thursday 9/24/37 Dear Dad, I just received your letter, and as I told you in a previous letter I have already gone ahead with school. I was only two days late, and that I easily made up. The check was very kind of you but was unnecessary at this time, as I have enough to get along until my payments at school start. The first one of $24 comes due the 28th of October so I will save the check until then and apply it on my tuition. I won't need any money until the 25th of November, and possibly not even then. I am very happy and grateful to be able to go to school, and I am very sorry that everything is not going exactly as I intended. Saturday we are going to move. It is only a few blocks away but it is a bigger and nicer house. It really is very beautiful. Bob and I will have a private study of our own. The adress is 3370 Bennett Drive. I like school very much, and I am devoting all my time to it. I spend an average of six hours a day in the library, which is a gorgeous layout. We go to bed about 9:30 when I am not working and get up at 6:30. I do not believe I have never felt better in my life. I was very glad to hear that you are out of the hospital and completely recovered. I realise that you have been under a great strain and that I am largely responsible for it. I received the insurance papers more than a week ago. I have had no trouble whatsoever with the car. I have put about 4500 miles on it since I got it. Write soon. Love, Joseph
