certain involved reasons it amounts to 40¢ per hr. - still good money for the type of work. My finances at this point are quite low as I have not as yet had a pay check. Do not tell anybody that I am getting 40¢ an hour instead of 75¢ - I am telling you, in strictest confidence - Daddy is not to know either. This amounts to $22.40 a week - out of which I have considerable expenses: room, board, laundry, transportation, in short I am supporting myself completely. If I worked 3 weeks, I might be able to arrive in Dubuque with $35 or $40 at the most. If that is enough to pay my share to Quebec, O.K. But, if Dickie & Betty go, I pass. You & Jo & Joanne would be swell, but I agree with you completely on Dickie & Betty. Hell with them.
