Last week I appeared in Hollywood Bowl as a "super" in the astounding production of Prince Igor, for which I received only two dollars, but it was very amusing. Roselind, of course, danced in the [Polertzian?] Dances. Also, I have been doing some more driving, but this brings me only a dollar an afternoon when I do it. I have been reading a great deal of Santayana, as well as Fuller's History of Philosophy (this in order to bring my philosophy course up to date, as it were). And I am still writing occasionally, although not with any commercial motives in mind. I trust that you are both well, and that the turbulent state of international affairs has not affected business too seriously. Love, Joseph P.S. If you wish to send my dark blue suit, I could use it, but there is no rush.
