2 materialized. A very good friend of mine has suggested that he and I room together this summer, and I am quite in favor of the idea. He is Ben Miller, a graduate assistant in English who is going to take his M.A. this summer, and he is a very fine person. I hope that this does not complicate matters for you; if it does, let me know and I will explain to Chuck. The thing is simply that I would rather room with Ben, because I know him so much better and because we have so much in common - and all this, please understand, is no reflection at all on Chuck. I have seen Helene briefly off and on; she seems to have come through her exams all right - though apparently it was a pretty nerve-wracking ordeal. Let me know if you can come Friday next. Thanks again, Dad, for the money and the swell letter. I hope you have completely recovered by now. Love, Joseph
