2. Once again to keep eyes and ears open in this respect. I received the C.S. applications you send (for which thanks) but have not sent them in yet (I was sure I was going into the Army). I should be perfectly happy to work in the U.S.O. and I wouldn't mind going to Biloxi, although I probably would rather be in Washington. In short, I am interested in any kind of job in the war, and I would be grateful if you would give me some kind of idea as to what department or bureaus I might write to. I was unable to see Wilbur Schramm before he left, or I would certainly have told him to get in touch with you; you can probably reach him through the OFF. Please forget about my birthday - it really doesn't mean anything to me. I would still discourage typewriter on account of general uncertainty. Love and congratulations. Write soon (I will be in I.C. less than a week more, but anything you write to this address will be forwarded). Jody
