relatively short time. A couple of Sundays ago Mary and I went to Georgetown to see Father Walkers, who was giving a [retreat?] there. We had a long and pleasant visit with him. Last Sunday (Easter) we explored some more of Washington, which is in many ways an amazing place. This Saturday afternoon I am going to spend at the Harvard Research Center at Dumbarton Oaks, in company with the sub-prior of the English Benadictine monastery here - a splendid person, by the way, and a brilliant scholar. Mary has a bank draft for the money we owe you and will probably send it in a letter this week-end - she hasn't had a chance to write. Please let us know how everything works out. Love, Joseph
