Mrs Drake's Black Cake 6 eggs 2 cup sugar 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1 teaspoon ginger, allspice cinnamon and nutmeg 4 to 5 cups sifted flour 1 1/2 cups shortening 1 teaspoon saleratus 1 package raisins 1/2 cup molasses Devil's Food 1/2 cake of Bakers Chocolate 1 cup of sugar yolk of 1 egg 2/3 cup of sweet milk - boil until it thickens and when cold add 1 cup of sugar - 1/2 cup butter - 3/4 cup milk - yolks of 2 eggs - 3 cups flour - 3 teaspoons b.p.- whites of 3 eggs
