Ms Dwyer's Fruit Cake 1 1/2 cups brown sugar 3 table spoons butter 3/4 cups fat salt pork chopped fine 4 eggs, 1 small teaspoon cloves & cinnamon, each 2 lbs raisins, 1 currants, 1 figs, 1 dates, 1 lb walnuts or less, 1/2 cup molasses, Pour 1 pt boiling water in pork use hot 1 cup sour milk, 1 level teaspoon soda, 1 heaping teaspoon of baking powder, Flour to make good stiff batter, brandy
