July 12th 1864 Tuesday morning was cloudy and looked like rain and very warm in the morning at 6 A.M. we reported at the Corps and signed up the rolls and got our pay about 12 P.M. I strolled around town in the afternoon and got some few little articles that I wanted The non veteron of the 24th Ind was a going to start home tomorrow morning I drawed $52.75 - 26.75 clothing
