July 18th 1864 Monday morning was very warm and pleasant. We went to Guard mounting at 8 A.M. and then J. Mickey and myself went over to New Orleans and rambled around over the City. I went to No. 101 Canal street and set for a dozzen of Photographs to send around amongst my Relatives $400 per dozen
