times while I was on guard than the greater part pf the ballance. it was so crowded on the vessel that it made it disagreeable by day and by night. we seen or passed no vessels of any kind to day it was very lonesome and dreary out on the gulf with nothing in sight but the blue watters a rolling and a tumbling us from one side to the other all day long.
