July 26th 1864 Tuesday morning was cool and pleasant but not so rough as it was the day before. Today the ship changed it course a little more southward than it had been a going before. About 8 A.M. we seen a sail vessel passed us off to the Eastward but it soon passed out of sight about 3 PM there was a steam ship passed
