We would once and a while pass through a school of Porpoises which we could see were plain in the blue looking watter but it was so clear that we could see a number of feet into the watter We came in sight of the Fort Monroe light house at dark but did not get quite into port till midnight it was very dark and foggy so that we could see nothing but the light house
