Aug 9th 1864 Tuesday morning was warm and pleasant there was Battalion drill this morning at 7 AM While we was a drilling there was an order came for the 28 Iowa and 18th Ind to move camp we went to camp immediately and Co A and B was Detailed for Fatigue to clean off the ground where we was to camp 14 mile from where we was we got the ground
